Status of these terms
These terms are a draft. None of them is in effect until they have been reviewed and an effective date is shown at the top of this page.
The service
WalkGuide offers self-guided audio walking tours. The app follows your position on a tour route and plays the narration for each stop as you reach it, and you can always start a stop yourself instead.
Tours are written with the help of AI, and every tour is reviewed by a human editor, with a source cited for each factual claim, before it is published. The service is offered in English.
Accessibility stays free
Step-free routes, transcripts of the narration and screen-reader support are free, permanently. No purchase is needed to use them, and none ever will be.
Purchases
Some tours and passes are paid. What each one costs and what it includes are shown in the app and in the App Store or Google Play at the moment you buy, and never on this page.
Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, under that store’s own terms. A subscription bought there is cancelled there.
Your safety
You walk at your own risk. Before you use the app for the first time it asks you to read and accept a safety waiver, and it cannot be used until you do.
Narration includes safety cues at road crossings, but it does not replace your own attention to traffic, surfaces and the people around you. Obey local traffic rules and signs at all times.
